<p>Donald William Farris, 67, of Flemington, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2022.</p> <p>A visitation will be held from 6:00 &ndash; 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 19th, 2022 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 also at the funeral home. Don&nbsp;will be laid to rest at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas.</p> <p>Don&nbsp;was born September 21, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas to Marion &quot;Bud&quot; and Delores Farris.&nbsp;</p> <p>Don graduated in 1972 from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. Don&nbsp;earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts and&nbsp; was a Retired Air Force Reservist. He was also&nbsp;a Retired Service Technician and Cable Locater for Southwestern Bell and AT&amp;T.</p> <p>He was an avid fisherman and&nbsp;gun enthusiast, and was always willing to help others and loved practical jokes.</p> <p>Don&nbsp;is preceded in death by his parents and his brother James Edward Farris.&nbsp;He&nbsp;has no immediate survivors, but multiple cousins and dear neighbors &quot;on the ridge&quot; at Flemington.&nbsp;</p> <p>Memorial contributions may by made in Donald&rsquo;s name to the <a href="https://www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/donate">Polk County Humane Society</a>, located at 4404 S. 82nd Rd., Bolivar, MO 65613.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Obituary

Donald William Farris, 67, of Flemington, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 19th, 2022 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 also at the funeral home. Don will be laid to rest at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas.

Don was born September 21, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas to Marion "Bud" and Delores Farris. 

Don graduated in 1972 from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. Don earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts and  was a Retired Air Force Reservist. He was also a Retired Service Technician and Cable Locater for Southwestern Bell and AT&T.

He was an avid fisherman and gun enthusiast, and was always willing to help others and loved practical jokes.
