Paul E. Piker Obituary

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the death of our brother, Paul E. Piker.  He passed away at Union Hospital, after a brief illness, on August 8, 2022 at 6:06 p.m. with family at his side. He was an employee of Kirkman’s Hardwood for 30 years, as a debarker operator.

Paul was born on May 17, 1963 to Jesse and Norma Piker. Both parents and brother Carl Piker proceed him in death.  He is survived by six sisters, Jessie McCollum, Margaret Barton (Tim), Florence Barton (Ken), Judy Higgins (Jeff), Lois King (Terry), and Kathy Stripling; and one brother to whom he was very clos to as they were also co-workers, George Piker, as well as thirteen nieces and nephews.  He also had a special friend since the fourth grade, Dina Watton.

Paul was a 1981 graduate of Terre Haute South.  He loved to mushroom hunt; he always took a week’s vacation to hunt those wonderful morels. He also enjoyed deer hunting.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Pastor Don Ransford will officiate.
