Mr. David Mack Harris, age 70, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 7, 2022, in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home.

The Visitation for Mr. Harris will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Sanctuary of Praise in Pineville from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The service will be at the church and will start at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor David Kimsey and Bishop David Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Pineville under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mack Harris and Honor Lee Williams Harris.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Lisa Marlene Freeman Harris; daughters, Melissa Hunter (Dr. Jonathan), Amy Harris Garcia, Ahuna Renee Johnson, J.D. (Specialist Wesley); grandchildren, Nathan Mode Roper, Matthew Ryan Roper, Luke Wesley Johnson, and Molly Kathleen Johnson; sisters, Peggy Ralila, Janice Mikeworth, Maxine Pacheco, and Daphne Pooser.

Mr. Harris was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a proud veteran of both the Marines and National Guard, serving in Vietnam and Desert Storm. After the military he worked at Pinecrest, where he retired as Nursing Manager. He enjoyed hunting, studying rocks and gems, and making jewelry. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
