Tyrell "Ted" Grattan

LANCASTER – Tyrell “Ted” L. Grattan, age 80, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. He was born on November 16, 1941, in Beetown Township, the son of H. Merwyn and EllaBelle (Clauer) Grattan. On July 6, 1963, Ted was united in marriage to Zena Jamison in Lancaster. Ted worked as a cheesemaker in Fennimore, Beetown, and at Foremost. He retired in 2006 from Foremost as the Plant Foreman. Ted enjoyed family vacations to Colorado and spending time at their cabin in Bagley. He dearly loved spending time with all his grandchildren. Ted will be greatly missed. Survivors include his loving wife, Zena; children: Victoria “Vicky” Schnering; Wayne and Steve Chapman; Kathy (Douglas) Martin; Douglas (Marina) Grattan; over ten grandchildren; over twenty great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; his siblings: Kathleen Wolfe; David Grattan; Kenneth (Charlene) Grattan; Roger Grattan; Rochelle (David) Clifton; other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his siblings: Mary and Keith Grattan. In keeping with Ted’s wishes, there will be no services. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
