Sandra Marie Zanetti

Sandra Marie Zanetti, age 71, of North Branch, died Friday, August 5, 2022. She was born October 15, 1950 in Detroit, to Francis and Evelyn (Evans) Balabuch. Sandy graduated in 1968 from Sacred Heart High School in Roseville. She married Dennis Zanetti, the love of her life, on June 4, 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville. On June 2, 2001 they renewed their wedding vows at Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer. The Zanetti’s attended both St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in North Branch and Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer. Sandy graduated from Cosmetology School and went on the operate Sandy’s Beauty Shop in her home from 1969-1984. She retired in 2002 from Kirco Realty and Development (Troy, MI), where she worked on commercial construction sites for over 27 years. Mrs. Zanetti enjoyed scrapbooking and quilting, she definitely did not enjoy driving in winter weather. Sandy loved time spent with family at their cottage on Secord Lake, where they often could be found riding around the lake with the grandchildren on the pontoon. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy! Sandy is survived by her husband: Dennis Zanetti of North Branch; children: Dee (Larry) Miner of St. Clair, Antoinette (Daniel) Carlson of Chesterfield Twp. and Michael Zanetti of Metamora; grandchildren: Austin Zanetti, Chloe Miner, Brandon Miner, Alyssa (Branden) McCaslin, Derek Carlson, Cole Zanetti and Leah Carlson; and siblings: Frank (Genie) Balabuch of Shelby Twp. and Wanda Ambrous of West Palm Bay, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents: Francis and Evelyn Balabuch; and brother: Derek Balabuch. The family will receive friends 4-8PM Friday, August 12, 2022, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Sandy’s funeral service will be 11AM Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service, 10-11AM Saturday. Cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer.
