Barbara Ann Wingard Hughes
<p><strong>Barbara Ann Wingard Hughes, 83, passed away on August 5, 2022 and is resting in the arms of Jesus. Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Anna Lou Jones and Ernest “Ray” Shokes of Charleston.</strong></p> <p><strong>Ms. Hughes enjoyed crocheting, crafting, reading, and doing word search puzzles. She spent many hours in her yard with her flowers and watching birds. She especially enjoyed talking with and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.</strong></p> <p><strong>Surviving are her sons, Kenneth Hughes, Jr. of Lexington, Raymond “Clayton” Hughes (Devon) of West Columbia, Thomas Daniel Hughes (Mariko) of Florida; and two grandchildren, Brandt Hughes and Ronin Hughes.</strong></p> <p><strong>A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Barbara was such a blessing in my life.Will miss her for a short while then I see her again.Her and Jesus at home forever. Boys she loved you with all her heart and thats what Moms do.God bless you and know you are loved by a wonderful mother..Peace to all of you..
