Jean Dahn Obituary

Jean Dahn, age 89, a life long resident of Romeo, passed away August 5, 2022. She was born in Romeo on February 16, 1933, the daughter of Frank and Mabel (Striber) Siglow. She graduated from Romeo High School in 1951. She worked as an inspector at Interstate Manufacturing and later as an administration assistant at the Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) in Warren. Jean was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church where her family were early members after its founding. She was an active member volunteering for funeral luncheons and many other church activities. She was a dedicated member of the Striber-McVicar VFW Post 2052 Ladies Auxiliary. She never missed a Memorial Day Parade and always made crafts to sell at their many fund raisers. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts. Jean loved her community where her family roots were deep but, most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by many. She is survived by her beloved children; Donald, Jr. (Debbie) Dahn of Romeo, Timothy Dahn of Battle Creek and Bill (Jennifer) Dahn of Tecumseh. Also surviving are her grandchildren Mathew, Sr. (Nicole) Dahn, Andrea (Michael) Czapiewski, Emily Dahn, Katherine Dahn, Jonathan Dahn; great grandchildren Matthew Dahn, Jr., Jacob Dahn, Liliana Czapiewski, Brady Czapiewski, Brooke and Ariella. She was preceded in death by her beloved son James Dahn in 2018 and siblings Frank Siglow and Anna Groulx. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 2:00PM-8:00PM at the Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center (296 South Main, Romeo, MI 48065.) Jean will be lying in state on Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church from 10:00AM-10:30AM. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Romeo Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest in the family plot. Memorial donations may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
