John Gary Scarlett, 83, a resident of Gooding, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding.

     John was born on October 3, 1938 in Maryville, Missouri, the son of Jerald and Delpha Scarlett.

     He was raised and educated in Maryville, receiving his undergraduate degree at N.W.M.S.U.  He lived in southern California and had three daughters. 

     He was a veteran, an avid snow skier and loved horses.

     John married Deborah Myers in 1982 in Missouri and they had a wonderful marriage.  John was heartbroken when Deborah passed away and he followed her 10 months later.

     He is dearly loved and will be missed.

     John is survived by: three daughters – Lesa Grimes and Vicki Scarlett, both of Phoenix, Arizona and Rachael Stein of Goodyear, Arizona; and six grandchildren – Casey Bouresa, Taylor Magin, Scarlett Phares, Wyatt Davila, Lucie Grimes and Grace Grimes.

     No funeral services will be held.  Cremation arrangement are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.
