<p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Carolyn Sue Howard Blair, age 71, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at her residence.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Born January 14, 1951, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Ava Conley Howard. &nbsp;Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Violet Daroci, and infants Lillian, Margaret, and Sharon Howard, and four brothers, Emil, Marvin, and Clifton Howard and infant Lee Howard.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Carol is survived by her husband of nearly fifty years, Enoch &ldquo;Dickie&rdquo; Blair, whom she married September 21, 1972; one daughter, Melinda (Greg) Sturgill of Morehead; one son, James (Beverly) Bodine of Enid, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Audra (Derek) Isaacs of Morehead; and two great granddaughters, Alissa Grace Thomas and Madison Paige Isaac.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Other survivors include two sisters, Vivian Ross of Michigan and Florence Whitt of Morehead; three brothers, Emerson, Carl and Melvin Howard, all of Morehead; as well as nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Carol worked in the late 60&rsquo;s and early 70&rsquo;s at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Druthers, Bruce Motel as a desk clerk, and Morehead State University in food service.&nbsp; She enjoyed being a homemaker, taking care of her family, and spending time with her granddaughter and great granddaughters, whom she cherished.&nbsp; She also enjoyed being outdoors, mowing the lawn, and playing volleyball.&nbsp; Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>In fulfilling Carol&rsquo;s request, graveside services with no visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Oscar Riley officiating.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt &amp; Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>View video tribute and sign guestbook at <a href="http://www.northcuttandson.com/">www.northcuttandson.com</a></strong></span></p>

Carolyn Sue Howard Blair, age 71, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at her residence.

 

Born January 14, 1951, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Ava Conley Howard.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Violet Daroci, and infants Lillian, Margaret, and Sharon Howard, and four brothers, Emil, Marvin, and Clifton Howard and infant Lee Howard.

 

Carol is survived by her husband of nearly fifty years, Enoch “Dickie” Blair, whom she married September 21, 1972; one daughter, Melinda (Greg) Sturgill of Morehead; one son, James (Beverly) Bodine of Enid, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Audra (Derek) Isaacs of Morehead; and two great granddaughters, Alissa Grace Thomas and Madison Paige Isaac.
