<p>Waynesville &ndash; Kathryn Noland Hyatt, 95, of Waynesville passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Cora Rogers Noland. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Darwin Hyatt in 1997.</p> <p>Kathryn was the youngest of 10 children and a proud mountain woman. Prior to her retirement, she lived in Cary, NC. She enjoyed volunteering for many years at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She loved to cook and garden and always had a great sense of humor.</p> <p>She is survived by a daughter, Holly Cameron and her husband, Don of Jacksonville, FL and Cashiers, NC; son, Harry Hyatt and his wife, Betty of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Jane Douglas Hyatt of Waynesville and Columbia, SC; two grandsons, Josh Hyatt and his wife, Sara and Jarrod McLauchlin; two great-grandsons, William Hyatt and Daniel Hyatt and many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home, 296 Main Street with Reverend Becky Brown&nbsp;officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.</p> <p>The family would like to give a special thanks to the Care Angels, especially Melissa and Betty who gave our mom the best care.</p> <p>The care of Mrs. Hyatt has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.&nbsp;</p>
