Cesar Navarro Farrales Obituary

Cesar Navarro Farrales passed away on August 1, 2022 surrounded by his family. Cesar was born on August 1, 1946 in San Felipe, Zambales, Philippines to Petra and Jacinto Farrales. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1990. Cesar is survived by his devoted and patient wife of 50 years, Claribel M. Farrales, and daughters Darlene F. Shochet (Joe), Clarissa F. Bush (Eric), and Cecile F. Tapman (Brian). Cesar was a supportive brother to his siblings: Erlinda Alcones (Jose), Raul Farrales (Emma), Laila Sanchez, and Mario Farrales (Marilyn). He loved to spoil his seven grandchildren: Christopher “Little Cesar” (Haneul), Emily, Maxwell, Jason Cesar, Christian, Jack “Little Jacinto,” and Katherine. Cesar recently became a great grandfather to Amelia. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cesar was extremely active in the Filipino community. He was a former Vice Grand Archon of the East Coast Chapter of the Sigma Phi Fraternity, and later, the Grand Archon. Additionally, he was an active Freemason and Life Member in Perpetuity in Owens Lodge No. 164, AF&AM and Pinatubo Lodge #52. Cesar was a creative culinary master. Loved ones and friends enjoyed dishes he artfully prepared. Cesar had a wonderful sense of humor, and his laugh was contagious. He will be greatly missed. Services will be in Virginia Beach: Viewings from 5-8 pm on August 29 at Hollomon-Brown, Princess Anne Chapel (3445 Princess Anne Road) and Funeral on August 30 at 10am St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church (5345 Virginia Beach Blvd.) Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
