In February, 1955, Ruby was united in marriage to Aubrey Bell, and to this union four children were born. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Bell; her parents, Wilhelm and Lydia Schmidt; a son, Richard “JJ” Bell; and two brothers, Fred and Charles Schmidt. Following graduation, Ruby met and married Aubrey Bell and together they made their home. She spent time working as a cook at Ha Ha Tonka Lodge, and later the Lee Plant in Lebanon and eventually would retire from Blair Cedar in Camdenton. Ruby would spend the rest of her years being a devoted homemaker to her family. She loved her Chiefs, especially her favorite players being Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Ruby was saved and was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She spent her free time fishing, working jig-saw puzzles, reading, watching westerns, working in her flower garden, and watching the black bear play on her property.
