Larry J. Broome

Larry J. Broome of Midland Texas passed away August 5, 2022 at the age of 72 of cardiac arrest.  He was born August 7, 1949 and served in the US Air Force for 8 ½ years.  He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service in Viet Nam.   In 1974, he married Beverly Kobel, the love of his life, and they spent 48 years together raising their three children, spoiling their grandchildren, helping others and traveling.<br><br>Larry is survived by his wife, Beverly Broome, daughter Carolyn Coffin and husband Chris, son Kevin Broome and wife Emily, daughter Laurie Vehar and husband Vince, and five grandchildren, Alec, Nathan, Callie, Hannah and Benjamin, brothers, Randall Broome and Stanley Broome and wife Marsha, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.<br><br>A private graveside service with military honors will be held with  the family in attendance.  Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle &amp; Welch Funeral Home &amp; Crematory of Midland.  Online condolences may be made at <a href="http://www.npwelch.com">www.npwelch.com</a>.<br><br>&nbsp;

Larry J.
