Alvin Short, age 88, of Ary, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Hospice Care Center. Alvin belonged to Lower Ball United Baptist Church. He enjoyed studying the bible and loved being outdoors. He was the son of the late Larkin Short and the late Drucilla Ritchie Short. He is also preceded in death by four brothers: Jim Noble, Clarence Noble, Amel Short & Elbert Short and four sisters: Liz Fields, Ollie Roberts, Alpha Wimberly & Ruby Jones. He is survived by his wife: Fairlena Short; Two Sons: Perry Short (Kathy), VA & Patrick Short (Casi), Viper, KY; One Brother: Denzil Short, IN; Two Grandchildren: Nicholas Short (Christen) & Mary Short; Two Great Grandchildren: Caroline & Chevelle and A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends Arrangements are being handled by Maggard's Mtn. View Chapel where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Funeral service will be at Maggard's Mtn.
