Bobby John Best, Sr.

Bobby John Best, Sr, 78, husband of Virginia Tobias Best, died Thursday, August 4, 2022 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

Bobby was born on January 14, 1944, in Horry County, son of the late Charles Dowe Best and Annie Neal Hardee Best. He attended Faith Holiness Church. Bobby loved to go fishing, spending time with his family, collecting coins and model cars. He enjoyed reminiscing about the old days and was an Elvis fan. Bobby loved God and going to church with his family and his sister, Jewel.  

Surviving in addition to his wife of 51 years, Virginia Tobias Best, are their sons, Bobby “Robbie” (Lisa) Best, Jr of Effingham and Branden (Jennifer) Best of Scranton; grandchildren, Bobby “Trey” Best III of Effingham, Natalia “Tally” Best of Kingstree, Tracy Branden “TJ” Best, Jr of Kingstree, Taylin Best of Scranton and Hayley Nichols of Effingham; sister, Jewel Floyd of Scranton.  

Bobby was preceded in death by his grandson, Kyle Best; brothers, Edwin Best and Tim Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Faith Holiness Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
