Dwan Gail Shadrick Arden, age 62, of Athens, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 5, 2022, while in a Nashville hospital.
Dwan was born in Knoxville to the late Jesse and Priscilla Smith Shadrick. Also preceded in death is her husband, Fred Arden, daughter, Candace Presley, and brothers, Terry Shadrick, Ray Shadrick and David Shadrick.
She had served as a CNA and attended The Upper Room Church in Etowah
Dwan is survived by
Twin Granddaughters, Suni Shadrick and Starr Shadrick
Great grandchildren, Caroline, Candace, and Dylan II
Stepdaughter, Tiffany Bolanger (David)
Stepsons, Chris Arden, Allen Arden, Josh Arden, and Michel Arden
Sister, Debbi Cornelius
Brothers, Calvin Shadrick, Jesse Shadrick (Darlene), Jim Shadrick, Malcomb Shadrick (Sheila Fuller) and Ronnie Shadrick
Several nieces and nephews

Family and friends will assemble at 2:30 pm Wednesday, August 10, at the New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, located at 904 Acorn Gap Road Madisonville.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm with Pastor Darlene Shadrick officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Faught, Dylan Dotson, Cliff Brewer, Alex Wood, Calvin Shadrick and Jesse Shadrick.
