JACKSONVILLE  -  Leo Turner, 92, born September 15, 1929 passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022.

He was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Granddaddy and Great-Granddaddy  that truly loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashley and Janie Turner and his wife of 67 years, Helen Pollard Turner.

He is survived by his sister, Louise Mitchell, his brother, Horace Turner; his children, Phil Turner  and wife, Debbie of Verona, Doug Turner and wife, Gail of Holly Ridge, Gary Turner and wife, Sherry of Durham, Juanita Freeman of Rocky Point and Sharon Gurganus of the home.

He was blessed with nine grandchildren, Bryan, Brad and Brandon Turner, Amy Urton, Kimberly Penny, Michael Turner, David Hancock, Beth Grover and Megan Smith. Surviving him also are his twenty-three great-grandchildren, Addison, Bayleigh, Bryce, Brinkley, Conrad, Crosby and Cruz Turner, Ian and Emma Urton, Lydia and Joshua Penny, Carson Turner, DJ, Aubree and Shelbie Hancock, Alex, Tristan, Levi and Logan Grover, Jeremy, Bella, Camden and Paisley Smith and seven adopted grandchildren, Jonette, Jacob, Ethan and Eliza Greenwell, Anna, John Paul and John Paul Jones Jr. and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM with a visitation from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM before the service. Entombment will follow at Onslow Memorial Park Cemetery, Jacksonville.
