Assunta T. Stefancik Obituary

Assunta T. Stefancik, 99, of Ohio, formerly of Yatesboro, passed away on August 5, 2022 at O'Neill Health Care, North Ridgeville, OH.

She was born on October 15, 1922 to Emilio and Virginia (Mazzoni) Fornari in Yatesboro, PA. She was a member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Yatesboro. where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, cooking, but most of all spending time with her family.

Assunta is survived by her two sons, Mike (Mary) Stefancik of Sarasota, FL and Bob (Cindy) Stefancik of Punxsutawney; two daughters, Marilyn (Joe) Cicchiani of Harmony, PA and Diane (Terry) Byrnes of N. Ridgeville, OH; son-in-law, Dennis McCausland of Rural Valley; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mike Stefancik; daughter, Karen McCausland; 2 granddaughters, Marcianna and Janet Stefancik; 3 brothers, Joseph Michael Fornari, Jack David Fornari, and John Emilio Fornari; 5 sisters, Amelia Virginia Benson, Edith Marie Fornari, Mary Ermalinda Vicini, Emma Vittoria Beresnyak, and Helen Louise Kane; and a daughter-in-law, Marlene Stefancik.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 8, 2022, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, 11:00 am at the St. Mary, Mother of God Church - Yatesboro, with Father Ronald Maquinana, officiating.

Burial will take place in the St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery, Yatesboro.
