It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Neil Schroeder, age 69 on Friday, July 29, 2022 at his home in Steinbach, Manitoba.   <br><br> <br><br>Neil was predeceased by his son Steven Schroeder, his parents John and Maria Schroeder, his brothers George, John, and Isaac and his sister Margaret Banman. <br><br>  <br><br>Neil leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife of 45 years, Elvira Schroeder, his daughter Joanne Thomas (Abe), his daughter Amanda (John) Kroeker, and his son James (Lindsay) Schroeder; grandchildren Nicolas, Owen, Daniel, Zac, Sarah, Emma, Savannah, Chantelle and Nigel and great-grandchildren Kasey, Jael, Zayn, and McKenzie. <br><br>  <br><br>Neil is also survived by his brothers Aaron (Margaret), Bill, Isaac (Susan), Peter, Abe (Sherry); sisters Helen Preston, Susan Wieler, Mary Tank, Aganetha Martens, Lisa (John) Braun, sister-in-law Helen Schroeder, and brother-in-law Jacob Banman. <br><br>  <br><br>Neil loved spending time with his family. This included watching his grandchildren play hockey, having BBQs together and camping. He was a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching the Jets, the Blue Bombers, and the Blue Jays. Neil enjoyed connecting with people. He had many friends and enjoyed going for coffee to visit. He had lots of other interests; cars, gardening, fishing, fixing things, and lending a helping hand, just to name a few. <br><br>  <br><br>Thank you to the many friends and family who have shown us love and to Crossview and Ridgewood Church for all their help.   <br><br>  <br><br>The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Crossview Church, 345 Loewen Blvd. in Steinbach, MB.

Our sincere condolences to your family. Neil was such a happy guy, whenever we had the pleasure to encounter him at the Co-op. He will surely be missed by everyone who knew him.

Only knew him as Neil. He was my favourite gas jockey at Clearview Co-op.
