Barbara Ann Bickley

<p>Barbara Ann Bickley was born on April 17, 1945 to the late Velma S. Bickley and the late Henry Bickley in Lexington, South Carolina.&nbsp; She departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Friday, August 5, 2022.</p> <p>Barbara Ann accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of St Paul Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed.&nbsp; She sang on the Jubilee Choir, a member of Pastor and Pulpit Aide Committee, senior citizen attended Sunday school and participated in many other auxiliaries of the church.</p> <p>Barbara Ann attended Lexington Rosenwald High School and graduated from Rosenwald in 1962.&nbsp; She was a member of chorus, and was a great Basketball player.&nbsp; After High school she continued her education at Allen University and graduated from Allen in 1966 with a BA Degree in Elementary Education.&nbsp; She taught school at Twin City High School in Batesburg-Leesville and at Riverside in Saluda, SC.&nbsp; After teaching for several years, she began working for Allied Chemical in Irmo, SC., where she worked until she retired.&nbsp;</p> <p>Barbara Ann is preceded in death by a grandson James O &ldquo;Scooter&rdquo; Bickley, Jr., and two brothers Henry O Bickley and Marvin L Bickley.</p> <p>Barbara Ann leaves behind to mourn her passing two sons:&nbsp; James O. (Christine) Bickley, Sr. of Salisbury, NC., and Larry E. Summers, Jr. of Lexington, SC; a daughter, Bridgette D Summers, of Lexington, SC;&nbsp; three brothers Henry &ldquo;Ozlee&rdquo; Leaphart and Jackie (Renee&rsquo;) Bickley both of West Columbia, SC and Marty &ldquo;Ervin&rdquo; Bickley of Columbia, SC;&nbsp; six grandchildren:&nbsp; David &ldquo;Trey&rdquo; Green, Jared Pound, Barbara-Brooke M Summers, Dante&rsquo; Summers, Zahria N Bickley, Jacob Stovall and Macey Barbara A Summers;&nbsp; one great grandson Kaston Terell Green;&nbsp; God-Children Berlin Keisler, Jeremy Keisler, Jeremy Tolen, SanTanna Byrd &amp; Ansleigh James; two special friends Shirley Wise Harris and Carmella Powell; A devoted Caregiver, Greta Robinson and a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews,&nbsp; other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.</p> <p>Barbara Ann was a loving, kind, and caring mother, friend, sister, grandmother and person to all she met, or came in contact with.&nbsp; She has touched so many people in her path.&nbsp; She will be forever missed and forever in our hearts.&nbsp; Although she&rsquo;s no longer with us, her laughter, her smiling face and her waving as cars passed&nbsp;by will always be missed.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The conversations she&rsquo;s had with so many,&nbsp;and&nbsp;her loving and kind spirit will live in the hearts and lives of all who loved and knew her.</p> <p>The family of Barbara Ann Bickley would like to express&nbsp;a special thanks to the loving caretakers at the Agape Hospice Care, especially Trisha Burris, Tanya Hilton and Catherine Stewart for all the comfort that they brought to their loved one.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="embed-responsive-item" frameborder="0" mozallowfullscreen="" scrolling="no" src="https://portal.memoryshare.com/memoryshare/videoplayer/barbaraann-bickley-8100196" webkitallowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>

Barbara Ann Bickley was born on April 17, 1945 to the late Velma S. Bickley and the late Henry Bickley in Lexington, South Carolina.  She departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Friday, August 5, 2022.
