Herbert E. 79., of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012. Born and raised in New York City prior to settling in Saddle Brook 52 years ago. Mr. Bauer was a member of the Arcola United Methodist Church in Paramus. Prior to retiring, he was employed with Lever Brothers in Edgewater, as a Chemical Engineer for 37 years Beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Kolb) Bauer. Cherished father of Elise, Janice and Robert Bauer. Devoted brother of the late Walter Bauer. A funeral service is planned for Monday, September 24, 2012 10:00AM at the Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road. Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. (201) 797-3500. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at the funeral home.
