Mrs. Ruby Busby, 92, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, August 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Monday, September 2, 1929 to Jimmy Cochran and Hattie C. Cochran. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had worked as a Secretary at Busby Furniture Store and Dollar General. Mrs. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Lester E. Busby; father, Jimmy Cochran; mother, Hattie C. Cochran; son, Roland E. Busby; four brothers, Samuel Warren Cochran, Willie Cochran, Rob Cochran, Rolston Cochran; two sisters, Lennie Mae Douglas, Dalithacumi Cochran; adopted brother, Horace Cochran. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Broadhead (Mann), Laurel, MS; three grandchildren, Joseph Betts (Amanda), Waynesboro, MS, Leah Coffey, Los Angeles, CA, Laura Lynn Beasley (Ricky), Jones County, MS; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Betts, Mobile, AL, Michaela Betts, Waynesboro, MS, Justin Beasley, Jacob Beasley, Jordan Beasley, all of Jones County, MS; great-great grandchild, Arrow Wilder Betts, Mobile, AL. Visitation for Mrs. Ruby will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS.
