Patricia Jean (Pontes) Haviland of Arlington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 5, 2022. Beloved wife of David A. Haviland. Devoted mother to Michael Haviland of New York, NY and Kathryn Haviland (Martin Conroy) of Burlington. Daughter of Margaret (Kelley) Pontes and the late Richard John Pontes of Arlington, formerly of Cambridge. Sister to Valerie Coll (Dennis Coll) of Silver Spring, MD, Regina Pontes of Arlington and the late Richard James Pontes. Cherished “Mimi" to Vivian, Marty Jr., Liam and Luke. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and former colleagues at Harvard Business School, where Patty dedicated herself to a career that spanned nearly 40 years. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, August 9th in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Rd., Belmont, from 5-7 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday in St. Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester, at 10 A.M. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
