<p>Jerry Alan Fish, also just known as &ldquo;Fish&rdquo; to many, 73, of South Bend, IN., passed away at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.</p> <p>Jerry was born on October 26, 1948 in South Bend to John Melvin and Eleanor (Gardner) Fish.</p> <p>On September 23, 1967 in South Bend, Jerry married Susan Nijak. Susan preceded him in death on June 13, 2007. Jerry is survived by his daughters; Jeannie (Phil) Barnette and Kathy (Andrew) Ruess, two grandchildren; Jerry Barnette and Vinnie Barnette, his brother, Jon Fish, Sister-in-law, Nancy (Kevin) Park, his nieces, and nephews; Amy (Charlie) McLeod, Adam (Paige) Fish, Stan (Stephanie) Park, Sarah O&rsquo;Hara (Jake Piechowiak), Jake (Kerri) Stevens and many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Roger Lovitt, his best friend of 60+ years. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Connie Kush, Dana Fish and Dawn Fish, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Kathy and Fred Stevens, and nephew, John Stevens.</p> <p>Jerry graduated from Washington High School in 1966. He worked as a union electrician for 40 years with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) where he also taught 2nd year apprentices.</p> <p>Jerry loved golf, all his friends at Catch 22, wintering in Florida and all his friends in Bonita Springs, FL.</p> <p>Family would like to thank Dr. White and nurses Bae, Lindsey, and Ryan.</p> <p>A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, August 14, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home &ndash; Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.</p> <p>Memorial contributions can be made to the Center for the Homeless, 813 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46601.</p> <p>Online condolences can be made at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com</p>
