Derek Edward Hunt<br><br>Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Victoria Hospital, at 57 years young born February 26, 1965. Loved eternally by his wife Jenny Stewart. Lovingly remembered by his daughter Ashley Moore (Sean), his son Rick Hunt (Sara), granddaughter Sloane Moore, mother-in-law Maggie Stewart, brothers Gary, Tony, Raymond, half-brother Scott Pelley and his sister Darlene Hann (Fred). Loved by his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his mother Donna Meaney. He was an avid reader/writer, loved history, politics and debating. Loved the Maple Leafs who let him down, again and again. <br><br>There will be no visitation or Funeral Service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung Association, 502-85 Meadowlands Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2C 3N2 would be greatly appreciated.
