Wilma Jean Roberson Clark, 93, a long-time Hereford resident passed away Friday, August 5, 2022. Funeral services will be held 2pm August 9, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church, with Dennis Latham officiating. Interment will follow in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors. Family visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Monday, August 8, 2022, at Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Wilma was born September 9, 1928, in Hereford to J. P. “Dock” and Madge Roberson. She was raised in the Wyache community Southeast of Hereford. Wilma married L. J. Clark on June 5, 1947 and shared 68 wonderful years of marriage until his passing. Wilma worked for Struve’s Hardware, D. S. Co Abstract office Inc., HISD School Tax Office, and Assistant Count Clerk for Deaf Smith County. She loved bowling and bowled on the Monday Night Women Bowling League, Friday Night Mixed Couples League, and helped with the Saturday morning Jr. Bowling League. Wilma was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Deaf Smith County Genealogy Society, a member of Hereford Lions Club and the Hereford Eastern Star. Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, L. J. Clark; parents, J. P. “Dock” and Madge Roberson; brother, Joe Weldon Roberson; sister Wanda Sue Roberson. The legacy she leaves includes her two children, Scottie L. Clark of Fort Worth, Texas and Lanna K Clark of Rainsville, Alabama, and numerous nephews and nieces.
