Gladys E. Bishop, age 61 died peacefully on July 30th, after a courageous battle with cancer. Gladys is known to family and friends as Tine or Tina. Born on September 29, 1960 in Chester, PA to her late parents, Barbara A. Bishop and George R. Walters.

Growing up, Tine loved being around her family and friends, especially her late grandmother Effie May Bishop and late aunt Delores Prendergast. She enjoyed going to the movies, taking pictures, playing basketball and tennis in the Fairgrounds. She also admired showing her authority to her younger siblings. Gladys graduated from Chester High School. Soon after, she attended All-State Career where she obtained a Medical Assistant Degree. She obtained employment as a Medical Assistant at A-100 Percent Health Feinburg Chiropractic Office for approximately 17 years before retiring as an Office Manager at the practice. If you knew Tine, then you’d know that she loved playing professional billiards. Yearly, she and her teammates would compete in playoffs for the chance to attend the finals in Las Vegas. Tine has won hundreds of tournaments throughout the years playing what she loved to do., Tine is preceded by her oldest son, Chevin Peterson.

Left to cherish her loving memories are: her children, Rahmin Peterson, Sakina Peterson, Clarence Peterson III, Kiesha Peterson & Christina Ross, and Chevin Peterson. Her siblings, Ralph Walters, Kevin Bishop, Terrance Bishop, Charles Walters Jr., Michael Kearney, Ervin Kearney, George Kearney, Winnie Kearney and Tamira Robinson. Her grandchildren, Ka’Nyjah Peterson, Ibn-Rahmin Peterson, Ka’Nyla Peterson, Quahmai Jacobs, Sakina Jacobs, Donisha Jacobs, Tyzhon Kirlew, and Chevin Peterson Jr. Long time companion, Jason Grant, her best friend Wanda Newell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
