Larry Gene Clemons, 74, of Michigan City, passed away peacefully at 5:21 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in his home. He was born May 3, 1948, in Portageville, Missouri, to Joseph and Vilet (Lawrence) Clemons. Larry retired in 2000 as a millwright from Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of D.A.V., Michigan City. Larry enjoyed fast cars and Harleys. On July 11, 2002, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Laurine “Laurie” (Thompson) Clemons, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Becky Rydzinski of Bridgman, MI, Julie (Jeremy) Copeland of St. Joseph, MI, Jessica(Scott) Schoff and Briane (Jeff) Howard both of Michigan City, IN; one uncle considered a brother, Gene (Kathy) Clemons of Pullman, MI; five siblings, Phil (Lynda) Clemons of Pullman, MI, Robert (Carol) Clemons of Michigan City, IN, Kathleen (Tony) Leonard of Grand Junction, MI, Evelina Michael of Pullman, MI, and David (Roberta) Clemons of Grand Junction, MI; six grandchildren, Ava, Aidan, Neve, Andi, Harlee, and Olivia; two great grandchildren, Molly and Karsen; god son, Noel (Ginger) Clemons; and many many loved nieces and nephews; and close friends. Preceding in death were his parents; three sisters, Mary Fisher, Laurel Pendergrass, and Marie Clemons; and three brothers, Eugene, Joseph, and Michael Clemons. Cremation has taken place.
