Donald Burdick

Donald W. Burdick, of Pittsfield, passed away August 2, 2022 at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility. <br>Born in North Adams, MA on October 18, 1940 to Carroll and Ida “Dot” Mchugo Burdick, he was a 1959 graduate of Drury High School. <br>Donald married the former Margaret E. Scarfone on July 11, 1980 at St. Mark Church. She predeceased him on May 2, 2015. <br>He was a production supervisor at Poly Fibron Technology in Adams from 1976 to 2002.<br>Mr. Burdick was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #103 and a communicant of St. Mark Church, where he was a eucharistic minister. He enjoyed golfing, telling jokes, and sweets of all kinds. He enjoyed more than anything, his family; his wife Peggy and his children and grandchildren. <br>He is survived by his daughter Barbara Hancock and partner Christopher Chartrand of South Deerfield, MA; son Scott Burdick and wife Debbie of Irmo, SC; step-son, Del LeBarron and wife Ann of Delaware, MD; two sisters, Marylyn Boesse and husband Ralph of North Adams, and Linda Cowie and husband Doug of FL. Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Carole Rondeau. <br>FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Fedoryshyn, Pastor. Burial will follow at Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday, August 5, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Mark Church in care of the funeral home. <br>
