Robert "Bob" Thomas Gravlin, Jr., fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Catholic Church, died August 2, 2022. Born February 28, 1952, he was the oldest son of the late Robert Gravlin, Sr. and Catherine (Schaller) Gravlin. Beloved husband of 37 years to Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Frankenberger) Gravlin; loving father of Kristen (Steve) Schreiber, Tim, and Jeanna Gravlin; cherished grandfather of Elliott, Bennett, and Scarlett; dear brother of Mike (Pam), Bill (Patti) Gravlin, and Mary (Mike) Frkovic; uncle, cousin and friend of many. Bob came into the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in 1971. Since then, he was very active in healing prayer ministry. He was one of the founders who started Our Lady's Inn, a maternity home, in 1982. He attended Rosary High School, graduating in 1972. He continued his education by going to Southwest Missouri State (Missouri State University), graduating with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in Religion. He got his Masters in Social Work at St. Louis University in 1982. He was a member of the Community of Restoration, a group of Charismatic Catholics who renovated houses in the Soulard area. He counseled many people through his work at Marygrove, Bridgeway Counseling, and Comtrea doing drug and alcohol assessments. He belonged to St. Peter and Paul Parish, St. Norbert Parish, and most recently Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish. He has belonged to several Bible Studies, Knights of Columbus, and Marriage Encounter. Funeral procession Saturday, August 6th, 9:15 am from Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid-Rivers Dr., St. Charles to St Joachim and Ann Parish, 4112 McClay St. Charles, for a 10:00 am Funeral Mass. Visitation, Friday, August 5, 2022, 4-8 pm. Interment St Philippine Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob to Our Lady's Inn, Birthright, or Masses would be appreciated.
