Terence Raymond O’Connor Obituary

Terence Raymond O'Connor "Terry" was born to Charles O'Connor and Norah Williams O'Connor in Bronx, New York on December 18, 1936. He was the 2nd of three children, Charles, Terry, and Noreen.



After high school, Terry joined the New York National Gaurd and later joined the US Army. During his career in the Army Terry was stationed throughout the US, Europe, Panama, and got a discharge in Vietnam. Some of the units he served with was the 82nd Airborne Division, 11th Airborne Division(his proudest group), and 5th Special Forces Group.



After Terry's military service he lived in California and Oregon for a while then landed up in Louisiana as an instrumentation tech. While in Louisiana he was an avid gardner, woodworker, and reader. He was part of the 82nd Airborne Association, Sierra Club and frequented Red's health and racquet club for many years.



He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Norah, and his brother, Charlie. He is survived by his sister, Noreen and her significant other Susan; his friend and former wife, Kathryn Royer, and his good family friend, Terry Leblanc. He had 8 children, Laura Kennedy, Ed Kennedy, Terry O'Connor, Charlie O'Connor, Patrick O'Connor, Jenni O'Connor, Brian O'Connor, and Kalli O'Connor. His 14 grandchildren are Christopher Kennedy, Amber Earnst, Vanessa Housekeeper, Eddy Kennedy, Nicole Laws, Heather Rehkop, Christal O'Connor, Charlie O'Connor, Caitlyn Doelger, Keaton O'Connor, Ashlynn Gates, Jade Vincent, Ian Vincent , and Adalyn Paige O'Connor; 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
 


Anyone that knew Terry knew he lived life to the fullest and always had a good joke or story to tell. He loved and cared for his family and friends. He passed July 30, 2022. He will be missed greatly.
