Matthew Wulfert <br><br>Have you ever gone inside a building and thought how much you appreciated the air conditioning? If you answered yes, then you may be able to thank Matt Wulfert. After bravely battling colon cancer, Matt died peacefully at home on July 28, 2022 with his wife, children and extended family by his side. Matt made the world a better place through his devotion to family, his 27-year career in building automation with Siemens, and also stocking the freezer with meat from his hobbies of hunting and enjoying the outdoors. He leaves behind his loving wife of 15 years, Dana and two cherished children, Ellis and Samuel, who were, and will remain, the brightest stars on Matt’s Facebook cover photos. His friends and colleagues will miss Matt’s helpful attitude and natural intellectual curiosity that sparked many interesting conversations. His family will remember his dedication, steadfastness and devotion. The Lord has taken him home too soon and so quickly. One has to wonder if there might be urgent building automation projects in heaven that only Matt could accomplish? He never was late to work. We all love and dearly miss Matt.<br><br>Matt is survived by his wife Dana Culp Wulfert and children Ellis and Samuel of Lancaster, South Carolina, his parents Gary & Jean Wulfert of Fulton, NY, his sister Jennifer Shatrau (Sherm), and niece Zoe Shatrau of Clay, NY. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Adolf Charles & Dorothy Wulfert of Oswego, NY, and his maternal grandparents Donald & Barbara Fowler of Hannibal, NY. <br><br>Memorial services will be held on August 9, 2022 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church (ARP), in Rock Hill, SC at 2pm.
