<p>Passed away at the Glenboro Health Centre on Monday August 1, 2022 at the age of 84 years, Rosalie Sigurdson (nee Gudnason), of Glenboro, MB.</p> <p>Rosalie leaves to mourn her passing her four Daughters Barbara (Sylvain), Stacey, Jenifer and Vivian (David); ten grandchildren Andre, Marc, Rachel, Tristan, Ceilidh, Brendan, Tyler, Braden, Brent and Brooklyn; 8 great grandchildren Lucas, Kane, Riker, Mason, Maverick, Nigel, Sebastian and Chloe; sisters Lorelie Mitchell and Sigried (Laurie) Johnson; brother Bill Gudnason; as well as numerous extended relatives &amp; friends.</p> <p>Rosalie was predeceased by her husband Warren, her mother Rose (nee Gunnlaugson) &amp; father Sigurdur Gudnason and sisters-in-law Joyce and Margaret.</p> <p>Rosalie was born in Winnipeg May 22, 1938. She grew up in the Hola School District north of Baldur.&nbsp; There on the family farm she gained a love of animals that stayed with her throughout her life. She met and married Warren and raised the four girls on the family farm at Cypress River.&nbsp; She supported the agricultural societies, 4-H clubs, rink committees and many other organizations to help improve the community.</p> <p>Rosalie later worked for the Tiger Hills Arts Association, enjoying bringing in various concerts and arts related events to the area.</p> <p>She loved the outdoors and loved being close to nature.&nbsp; She spent many hours watching the birds and animals that are around the yard and in the wild. Her favorite experience was while sitting in a bush watching for elk and having a cow and calf come within feet of her. Rosalie loved when friends and family visited and often loved a good tale shared with laughter. She also spent many hours going for drives and checking on the horse trails for the Friends of Spruce Woods.</p> <p>A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday August 5, 2022 at 1pm in Willmor Chapel, Glenboro, MB with Sandra Rex officiating.&nbsp; Following the service interment will take place in Bru Frikirkja Lutheran Cemetery, Cypress River, MB.&nbsp; A reception will be held in the Glenboro United Church C.E. Building following the interment.</p> <p>Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Rosalie&rsquo;s memory to the Friends of Spruce Woods Box 238, Glenboro, MB R0K 0X0.</p>
