Michael Alan Curtis

Michael Alan Curtis, 76, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on November 24, 2021, at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. He was born one of four children on February 3, 1945, in Buckhannon, WV, son of the late Harland Kent and Opal Grace Radcliff Curtis. He was a 1963 graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School, a 1967 graduate of WV Wesleyan University; and a 1986 graduate of Methesco Seminary in Delaware, Ohio. He served 10 years at North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood and retired in 2007. He returned to the ministry and served 7 years in the North Jackson Charge. He retired from the United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. He is survived by his wife, Sydelle Carina Davis Curtis, Ravenswood; sister, Patricia Wiggins, Bonifay, FL; 5 children, daughter, Carrie Dawson; sons, Matthew, Micah, Jacob, and Judah, all with family in Jackson County; 20 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project on Facebook; St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.; or donate-YWAMKona-youthwithamission-UniversityoftheNations(ywamkona.org )Kiera Curtis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10:00 am at North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood with Pastors Tom Nolan, Don Maxson and Chris Skeens officiating.
