Visitation Location: Roush Funeral Home Visitation Time: Wednesday, September 26 (5-7PM) Service Location: St. Matthew Catholic Church Service Time: Thursday, September 27 (10AM) Edward Lasko, 88, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on September 22, 2018, at Ravenswood Village. He was born on April 11, 1930, in Clarksburg, WV, son of the late Michael and Mary (Spustack) Lasko. His parents immigrated from Poland to Clarksburg. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Ravenswood, and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of Local Steelworkers Union 5668 in Ravenswood. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He loved to tell a good story. Ed was specifically known for his Christmas Eve Pizza Celebrations. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum as a bricklayer. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jo Ann (Harris) Lasko; children, Phyllis Lyons (Rick), Sonja Foutty (David), and Lory Osborn (Brian); grandchildren, Todd Westfall and Sarah Foutty; great grandson, Preston Rogers; and sister, Alice Lasko Dobbyn (Douglas). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Daniel and Eric; brothers, Michael, John and Casey Lasko; and sisters, Frances (Lasko) Pios and Ann (Lasko) Smrek. The Catholic Mass service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at 10:00 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Ravenswood with Father Pen officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery with full graveside military rites provided by Jackson County Honor Guard. Friends will be received by the family at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood on Wednesday, September 26, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm.
