Joseph Byron Lowe, 68, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on August 15, 2021, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born on March 27, 1953, in Huntington, WV, son of the late Harvey and Vada Mae Perry Lowe. Joe was a member of Operating Engineers Local 132 as a heavy equipment operator for 40 years. He was also a member of Ashton Lodge #12, A.F. & A. M. in Ravenswood. He is survived by his wife, Robin; daughter, Amy Fountaine (Craig) of Huntington, WV; 3 grandchildren, Alexander, Greyson and Laken Fountaine, of Huntington, WV; cousins, Linda Bright and Doris Coates; several of his lifelong buddies; and his beloved dog, Darcee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville, WV. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, August 18, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
