Browning Conley, 95, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on May 6, 2017, in Ripley, WV. She was born on February 7, 1922, in Mingo County, WV, daughter of the late Kenna and Willie Hatfield Browning. Zelta was a devout Christian who loved spending time with her family. She was a strong woman who loved life. "The beauty of our mother's love lingers still in our hearts. The memory of our mother will go on living forever." She is survived by her sons, Steven Conley of Virginia Beach, VA, and Reggie Conley of Fort Myers, FL; daughters, Sherry Johnson and Linda Conley, both of Ravenswood, WV; sister, Faye Ray of Charleston, WV; half-brother, Buzz Browning of Charleston, WV; and granddaughters, Tracy Johnson of Pittsburgh, PA, and Kristen Conley of Virginia Beach, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Conley; sisters, June Davis and Anne Barrett; and brother-in-law, Quintin Barrett. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor S. R. Parsons, Jr. speaking.
