Ralph Clay Mace, 92, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on April 5, 2017, in Ripley, WV.
He was born on June 23, 1924, in Hacker Valley, WV, son of the late Floyd H. and Amy Butcher Mace.
Ralph was a protestant by faith. Prior to his passing, he gave his life to Jesus Christ. He was a member of the VFW, lifetime member of the American Legion, and charter member of United Steelworkers Local Union 5668. He was a proud US Army veteran of World War II. He was a very devoted family man, patriotic citizen, and wonderful role model. Ralph retired as a machine operator from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood.
He is survived by his devoted spouse of 69 years (the love of his life), Malinda; 5 children, Del (Dee) Mace, Gary Mace, Chester (Debbie) Mace, Nelma Mace, and Randy (Sherry) Mace; 10 grandchildren, Chris, Ryan, Tanya, Bianca, Joshua, Lance, Sarina, Morgan, Corbin and Jacob; 12 great grandchildren, Braiden, Bethany, Benjamin, Willow Kay, Gabriel, Tyree, Joey, Lexus, Sammie, Mackensie, Cole, and Danasia; great-great grandchildren, Shaunteya and Maddie; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Audra; brother, Carl; and daughter-in-law, Judy Kay.
Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Sunday, April 9, 2017, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, time of funeral service.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017, and 3:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, with Pastor Chris Skeens officiating.
