She was born October 18, 1946, in Akron, Ohio to Thomas and Pauline Noonan. She graduated from Garfield High School in Akron, Ohio in 1964 and married her high school sweetheart, John Butler, that same year. She remained a faithful, loving, devoted wife for 53 years. Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, crafting, spending time with family and friends, and playing cards and board games with her grandkids. She loved to make people laugh with funny jokes and puns. One of her favorite activities was the annual decorating of the family Christmas tree that she supervised with meticulous care. Carolyn also loved cooking and baking and was well known for her spaghetti and wonderful apple pie. She is survived by her loving husband, John Thomas Butler of Chloe, WV; sons, John Butler of Ravenswood and his wife Jenny, Bob Butler of Parkersburg; One sister, Amy Trier and her husband Bill of Aiken, SC; three brothers, David Noonan and wife Sandy of Akron, OH, Jim Noonan and wife Dianna of Danville, KY, and Joe Noonan and wife Susan of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Kodi Sells, Quinton Sells, Jeremy Butler, Mason Butler, and Noah Butler; lifelong friend Sue Jones of Akron, Ohio. Family and friends will be received at Roush Funeral home on Thursday May 24 from 1-2, with a celebration of life service at 2 pm.
