R. Parsons, Jr. George Terry Fitzpatrick, 77, of Ravenswood, WV, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2016, at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV. Terry was born on September 7, 1939, in Pax, WV, son of the late Richard and Thelma Johnston Fitzpatrick. He served in the United States Navy and was retired from Century Aluminum. He was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Ravenswood, WV, where he was a Bus Captain and a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his children, Steve and Debbie Fitzpatrick, Lisa and Steve Childers, Lori and Robert Maness, and John and Leanne Fitzpatrick, all of North Carolina; grandchildren, Cody, Dusty, Caitlin, Carly, Zach and Brandon Fitzpatrick, Maddie Childers, Lindsay Patterson, Trent and Brett Maness; great grandchildren, Connor, Asher, and Hallie Fitzpatrick; sisters, Shelby and Cathy Fitzpatrick of Plantation, FL, Sue Zahrndt of China Grove, NC, Martha Watson of Ripley, WV, and Becky Davis of Parkersburg, WV. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Judy Jones Fitzpatrick; and two sisters, Diane Fitzpatrick and Margaret "Cookie" Belt. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Second Baptist Church in Ravenswood with Pastor S. R. Parsons, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery with graveside military rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard. Friends may visit the family at the church on Friday, November 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Second Baptist Church Bus Ministry, P.O. Box 446, Ravenswood, WV 26164.
