He was born on May 17, 1931, in Anjean, WV. He worked as a coal miner, served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant, and retired from Ravenswood Aluminum in Ravenswood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a devoted husband, loyal employee, and a wonderful father. He is survived by his sister, Lillian Iezzi of Charleston, WV; brother, Jack (Wilda) Boothe of Rainelle, WV; sons, David (Lisa) Boothe of Landenberg, PA, Tom (Elizabeth) Boothe of Cottageville, WV, Bruce Boothe of Ravenswood, WV, and Lloyd (Melanie) Boothe of Ravenswood, WV; daughter, Pat (Rodney) Davis of Cutler, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Lee Boothe; mother, Rosa Gould Boothe; loving wife of 63 years, Carol L. Boothe; and sister, Corteline D'Orazio. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 12:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor David Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville, WV, with graveside military rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the Red Cross or Disabled Veterans.
