She had celebrated her 90th birthday during the weekend with family, including her six daughters and her sister. She was born on August 7, 1926, in Ravenswood, WV, a daughter of the late James Holly and Phoebe Anderson Wolfe. She was a 1944 graduate of Ravenswood High School. Gerry was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Pleasant View Methodist Church, a church she attended since childhood. She is survived by a sister, Loretta Mahan of Millwood, WV; six daughters, Judy (Ken) Suprano of Uniontown, PA; Janet (Ed) Layton of Mineral Wells, WV; Shelia (Allan) Edwards of Washington, WV; Cathy (Mike) Conrad of Washington, WV; Frankie (Carl) Carlson of Bridgeville, PA; and Kim (Junior) Stutler of Ravenswood, WV; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard Mahan; her second husband, Howard Young; three brothers, Otho Wolfe, Johnny Wolfe, and Oshel Wolfe; and six sisters, Glady Carnell, Ernestine Allen, Ada Harrison, Leota Bailey, Floretta Nesselroad and Myrtle Cox. Services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016, at 11:00 am at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Pastor Vera Archer officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday, August 11, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and one hour prior to service on Friday.
