Poucher, 88, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, NY.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-no-proof: no;">Born on July 29, 1934, in Clermont, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Broast) Dembosky.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Rita was a graduate of Germantown High School. She was a switchboard operator and greeter at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY for over her 30 years until her retirement in 2020.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-no-proof: no;">In her free time, Rita was a member of Tivoli Ladies Auxiliary. Rita was an avid bowler and participated in leagues in Hudson for a number of years. She enjoyed going to casinos with her friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-no-proof: no;">Rita is survived by her daughters, Claudia (Kent) Kleine of Olivebridge, NY, and Robbin Walker of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>Kansas &amp; Kylie Kleine; her sisters Virginia Decker of Livingston, NY, and Frances Lasher of Germantown, NY; in addition to several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-no-proof: no;">Rita is predeceased by her siblings, Bernadette Fitzpatrick, Anne Dembosky Neese, Irene DeWitt, Robert Dembosky and George Dembosky.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-no-proof: no;">Friends may call at the Burnett &amp; White Funeral Homes on&shy;&shy;&shy;&shy;&shy;&shy;&shy; Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-no-proof: no;">Memorial donations may be made in Rita&rsquo;s memory to the Northern Dutchess Hospital Foundation, PO Box 5002, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-no-proof: no;">Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett &amp; White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Rita C. Poucher, 88, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, NY. 

Born on July 29, 1934, in Clermont, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Broast) Dembosky.  Rita was a graduate of Germantown High School. She was a switchboard operator and greeter at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY for over her 30 years until her retirement in 2020.

Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on­­­­­­­ Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm.

Memorial donations may be made in Rita’s memory to the Northern Dutchess Hospital Foundation, PO Box 5002, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.
