Deborah Lavay Cardin, 69, a resident of Tellico Plains, TN passed away on Sunday afternoon, July 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 6, 1953 in Bessemer, AL A daughter of the late James & Edna Bellew. Deborah loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Carl Douglas Cardin Sr. and one son Stephen Bryan Cardin. Deborah leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Carl Douglas Cardin Jr., one daughter Chasidy Noel and her husband Joey, three sisters Jenny Williams, Linda Moore (Gary) and Tammy Kline (George), two brothers Mike Bellew (Debbie) and Ken Bellew (Carla),, seven grandchildren Kevin Noel, Jordan Noel, Brooke Cardin, Kendra Henry (Kevin), Laura Reece (Kenyon), Emily Cardin and Dustin Cardin, seven great grandchildren whom she adored, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. A service celebrating Deborah’s life will be on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN with the Reverend Gerald Hyde officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time. The interment and committal service will follow in the Caney Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Tellico Plains with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
