Glenda C. Norman, 86 of Baxter Springs, KS passed from this life on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, MO. Glenda was born January 16, 1936 in Picher, Oklahoma to Paul and Marie (Jordan) Hewkin. Glenda graduated from Picher High School with the class of 1954. She had moved back to the area and resided in Baxter Springs for the last two years. Previous to this she had lived in Loflin, NV, Fairfield, CA, Las Vegas, NV and Corpus Christi, TX. Glenda enjoyed traveling, and was an avid antique collector. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Baxter Springs, KS. She was united in marriage to Jerry Norman he survives of the home. Additional survivors include son, Jerry Norman Jr. and wife Julie of Moville, IA; three daughters, Paula Sue Doran and husband Shawn of Fairfield, CA, Lisa Norman of Bakersfield, CA, and Julia Brackfield of Vacaville, CA; two sisters, Elaine Herron of Harrison, AR, and Shirley Sue Ceal of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Beth Hewkin and one infant brother. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Lowell Cemetery.
