<p>GEORGETOWN - Martin J. Wies, 90, resident of Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Beloved husband of Lillabeth Webb Wies, father, brother, uncle, and loving friend. He was born to Carl and Fannie Wies in Manhattan, NY on May 27, 1932. He grew up in Brooklyn with his brother Harold, with fond memories of Brighton Beach and Coney Island. He would always make sure you knew that everything was &ldquo;better in New York&rdquo;.</p> <p>He served in the Air Force, during the Korean War, as a Senior Medical Laboratory Specialist and was honorably discharged, after attaining a rank of A1C. He spent most of his career in the electronics industry. In 1992, he retired from Fire Burglary Instrument, Inc; having often showed off his ID, hoping you wouldn&rsquo;t notice the second i. Afterward, he began his most frustrating career, as a full time stay at home dad, for his two youngest children, Faleen and Limar. He is also survived by daughters, Wendy Odette Wies, Kelli, Jodi and&nbsp;son Roger, and 4 grandchildren.</p> <p>His hobbies included photography, socializing at the Topsfield Fair&rsquo;s Rabbit and&nbsp;Cavy Club, and sneaking treats to dogs, behind his kids backs. He thoroughly enjoyed making everyone around him laugh, and always brought a smile to our faces.</p> <p>He will be missed more than words can say.</p> <p>A celebration of his life will be held at his home on September 24, 2022.
