Lawrence "Larry" Fraher, 69, passed away on May 21, 2013 from a massive stroke. Larry worked for the telephone company until his retirement nearly 20 years ago. Known for his winning smile and outgoing personality, Larry was a beloved mentor, speaker and friend for a variety of support groups. His infectious love of learning and expansive knowledge of world history made the past come alive to those around him, as he delighted all who heard with stories of battles, churches and little known heroes. He will be sorely missed. Larry is survived by his longtime girlfriend and soul mate Maria Milio, sister Dorothy, brothers John and Jerry, son Lawrence Fraher, daughter Heather Rocker and three grandchildren. Visiting Thursday 9 - 10am with Funeral Service 10am Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. www.ALZ.org
