Robert Lenzinger Dobbs Ferry, New York Obituary

Robert Lenzinger

Robert Bob Lenzinger, 66, died in peace Friday, at his home in Ardsley, after an 18 month battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife Anne Cotter, daughter Jeanne, and brother Charles and family. Born September 21, 1939 to Fredrick and Angela Gramas Lenzinger, Bob grew up in Staten Island. As a child, he enjoyed competing on the school swim team and spending his summers at the Jersey Shore. Though Bob greatly enjoyed working for his final employer, Parsons & Whittemore, he found his greatest happiness in his personal hobbies, which included golfing, architectural design, photography, traveling and fine dining. Bob met his wife Anne, who was born and raised in the Bronx, in 1974, at a church dance. Within two years, they married and began a 30-year partnership that can only be defined as nothing short of true love. Until the final weeks, Bob faithfully devoted himself to caring for his beloved wife in her battle against multiple sclerosis. Mass of the Resurrection Sacred Heart Church, Hartsdale on Monday at 10am. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9PM Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorials to Hospice of Westchester appreciated.
