Cecile Marie Hughes

Cecile Marie Hughes, 73 of Pleasantville died peacefully at home on January 25, 2013. She was born in Brooklyn to Bernard and Marian Flynn. Raised in Brooklyn and South Hampton, she graduated from St. Claire's School of Nursing and earned her BSN from Mercy College. Cecile married Gerard William Hughes, and raised their family in Dobbs Ferry. Cecile specialized in Geriatric Nursing. She taught students from Gorton High School in a magnet program at St. Joseph's Medical Center. She was a dedicated nurse and teacher and retired from St. Joseph's Medical Center. Cecile was blessed to find love later in life and married Robert Suda in 2009. He survives along with her loving children Christopher Hughes, Jennifer Lemischak Joseph, Colin Hughes Maria, her devoted grandchildren Tyler, Jamie, Aaron, Allison, Joseph, William, Sydney, Riley and Robert's children Robert Suda, Hilary Hawk and Maurya Suda.
