Mary E. Brown of Dobbs Ferry joined the Lord on September 7, 2011 after a short illness. Mary was born in Fairview, W.V., the first of two girls, to George W. Mentiply and Eleanora K. Jensen. The family settled in Dobbs Ferry shortly afterward where she lived her entire life. A graduate of Dobbs Ferry HS and medical clerical training, her business career spanned over 20 years with positions at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and closer to home at P.R Mallory, North American Philips, and the family business, Dobbs Ferry Roofing Co. She married Capt. Edward A. Brown in 1943 and was a full time mom for her two sons Edward W. of Harwich, Ma. and Robert A. Carol of White Plains. She volunteered at the Dobbs Ferry Hospital
